Sexual Health & Contraception

Your sexual health is very important to your well-being.

We offer a range of sexual health services, including testing for STI's (Sexually Transmitted Infections).  We also offer Chlamydia self-testing kits at reception.   

Contraception counselling and sexual health screening for both males and females is by appointment with our doctors and nurses.  They will discuss various contraception options with you and help you select a suitable method, see also family planning org

Once established on contraception our nurses will be happy to assist with repeat prescriptions for oral contraception and depo provera injections.

Condoms are available at reception and we also offer 'C' cards (condom cards) where registered clients can be given a regular supply of condoms.

Remember that any prescriptions for contraception are free.

Counselling

Counselling services are available through the University of Plymouth Student Counselling Service, please telephone 01752 232254, or go to the University website.

Travel Clinic

Provided by the Practice Nurses. Please note: Travel vaccinations and immunisations must be pre-booked.

Minor Operations

These are conducted in designated clinics for the treatment of such conditions as ingrowing toenails, warts, moles etc.
